Edge computing supports two types of data flows, core-out and edge-in. The former addresses CDN and other content caching needs, while the latter centers on data produced at the edge and ultimately backhauled to central locations. Edge topologies reflect these two modalities. This interactive discussion will explore edge trends, including the growing use of AI at the edge to reduce data volumes and to produce more timely results. Time permitting, we’ll also consider emerging edge/IoT use cases and challenges.
